Scarlett Johansson is set to relaunch her music career after forming a girl band with rocker Este Haim.
The Lucy star first dabbled in music in 2008 when she released a Tom Waits tribute album and she is now part of new group The Singles, which she has formed with the Haim singer. Other members include musicians Kendra Morris, Holly Miranda, and Julia Haltigan, and their first track is called Candy.
Johansson says, "The idea was to write super-pop dance music written and performed by girls. I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go's. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke."
