US President Barack Obama who was on a three-day visit to India surprised everyone when he mentioned one of Shah Rukh Khan’s popular dialogue from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. While on one side it is Obama who clearly showed that he is a die-hard fan of SRK, our very own President Narendra Modi tweeted about how Salman Khan has impressed him. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra bhai Modi had nominated superstar Salman Khan for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ans seems like Sallu bhai has continued the campaign till now, which is why Modi is immensely impressed with Sallu.

It was yesterday on January 26, Republic Day when the Dabanng star posted on his official Facebook page that ”The Honorable Prime Minister nominated me for the Swachh Bharat campaign and I have cleaned and painted three villages in Maharashtra so far. I intend to continue with this initiative, but Swachh Bharat is not about what one of us can do. It’s about what each of us can do.” ”So today, on Republic Day, I am taking this campaign social. I will nominate 100 followers a month for Swachh Bharat. Please start a sustainable Swachh Bharat initiative in and around your area of work or residence or both. Upload your before and afterpictures or videos. Five of the best initiatives will get special mention on my Facebook page and also win a prize each. He further added. Kya bolte ho? Shuru karein? First list will be up tomorrow.”

On this Modi, who seemed much impressed with the Sallu, tweeted saying:

The happiness of Salman Khan fans knew no bounds as they started tweeting about the same. It has been a while since #SwachhBharatWithSalman has been trending on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Salman who is much occupied with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, somehow managed to take time out from his busy schedule and continued doing ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ even during his shooting schedules. While shooting for his forthcoming film, along with his co-star Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan had painted every house in Mandwa, Rajasthan.

Various Bollywood celebs like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amitabh Bachchan too participated in the Swachh Bharat campaign.
